Guelph’s Bachelor of Commerce in Real Estate (RE) is designed to qualify graduates to meet the high demand for employees in the real estate industry. The RE major includes a core Estate Finance, Real Estate Law, Property Management, Urban Economics, Market Analysis, Planning, and Development. Upper year courses use real life projects to sharpen a student’s analytical and communication skills.

Graduates can be exempted from some of the courses required to complete various professional designations such as the Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI) and the Certified Property Manager (CPM).

Graduates can be found in all sectors of the industry: commercial and residential brokerage, appraisal, property management, property development, project management, and mortgage lending. They are employed at companies such as Allied Properties REIT, Altus, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Colliers, CBRE Limited, Great West-Life, Homestead Land Holdings, Mattamy Homes, Oxford, Riocan and SmartCentres.
